At LDC, we continue to improve our services and programmes to ensure that our children experience overall development and lead meaningful lives.

Jeevan Utthan Kendra

Children attend classes to learn basic reading and writing (academic learning), with a focus prioritizing on life skills, based on their intellectual learning ability.

  • They receive different therapies, including physiotherapy, motor skills (gross and fine), occupational therapy, speech therapy, music therapy and animal therapy.
  • Children also visit the sensory room regularly to get stimulations and enhance their senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste.
  • Based on their abilities, children are taught the essentials to enhance their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) including maintaining of personal hygiene.
  • Children are taken to attend social events, recreational centres and various local places to help them to increase social closeness.

LDC has been committed

  • School picnic is organized with the participation of all students, team family members and parents.
  • Parent’s meetings are held to share updates on each child’s progress.
  • Children are encouraged to take part in a variety of tasks and chores to keep them busy.
  • There are many activities for children, like gardening, working in the kitchen garden, working with soil, caring for animals like chicken and birds, working in the kitchen, simple cooking, dancing, playing games and sports, cleaning, and taking care of the environment, etc.
  • Children who can handle specific tasks are given responsibilities to help them feel important and motivated to improve.
