CONTRIBUTION AND HELP

We want to express our deep appreciation and gratitude to everyone who have contributed to LDC. All of yours’ generosities have been instrumental in enabling us to provide better services and care to our children. We are truly grateful for all your support and encouragement and we look forward to continuing this journey with you in the future.

Sincere Gratitude

Mrs. Mariet Mulders, from the Netherlands, began supporting LDC by sponsoring children from financially struggling families. Her contributions have been invaluable, including donating teaching materials, musical instruments, toys, play equipments, physio balance balls, 2 trampolines, 2 DC solar panels with batteries and physiotherapy supplies. Mrs. Mulders also funded training for our teachers by funding their participation in training programmes, ensuring that they have the skills needed to provide the best education.

Mrs. Monique Derwig, chairperson of the Association Kumari, has been an ongoing and dedicated partner in supporting LDC. Her journey began with sponsoring children and has expanded to include very significant contributions such as renovating our previous rented school building, covering part of the rented building, providing a microbus and offering partial support for teachers’ salaries (ended), contributing to the costs of a rented kitchen garden plot and internet access (both ended).

Association Kumari continues to assist LDC in children’s sponsorships raising from various individual donors. Dherai dherai dhanyabaad to their very significant efforts – with the contributions from Wilde Ganzen and many individual donors, the children at LDC now have a permanent and safe home.

The Unica Foundation, through Association Kumari, has generously provided LDC with a solar backup system that charges using both AC power and solar energy. This ensures a continuous power supply, keeping the lights on at all times and ensuring the safety of our children, particularly those prone to epileptic seizures, which can occur anytime and anywhere. The system is very crucial for children especially with physical challenges, epilepsy, vision issues, or a fear of the dark, as it provides a stable and safe environment. We are deeply grateful for the Unica Foundation’s support in enhancing the quality of life for our children.

Mr. Marcus Renz had also been a steady sponsor, starting to support with sponsorship from four and later to two children at LDC  (all ended), making a meaning difference in their lives.

Through a connection of Mr. Jagat Dahal from Himalayan Leaders Nepal, Peter and Michel from Himalayan Care Hands began supporting LDC by donating essential items, including water treatment and purification filters, magnetic whiteboards for classrooms, a harmonium, microphone sets and stands for the children and even funded for a laundry team member’s salary (ended).
