Objectives

Life Development Centre (LDC) in English, is a dedicated institution focused on social service of enhancing the lives of persons living with intellectual disabilities in every possible aspect with genuine effort.

The centre is committed to supporting children and adults living with intellectual disabilities, tailoring its approach based on factors such as their intelligence level, interests, capabilities, potential and ability to adjust to society.



The objectives are designed to help each individual reach their fullest potential:

  • Provide basic essential knowledge and trainings in activities of daily living and life skills.
  • Offer education, including basic reading and writing, and help individuals apply these skills in their everyday lives.
  • Deliver trainings to help in managing their disability with the development of adaptive functioning.
  • Provide homely supportive environment at the centre and trainings for the development of self dependency.
  • Enhance socialization skills to promote positive interactions and relationships.
  • Enhance skills to make them self-reliant to the extent possible.
